Classroom Based Experience
The TSAS internship at SACS has provided invaluable classroom-based experience, allowing me to bridge the gap between university theory and practical teaching skills. From day one, I was immersed in the realities of teaching, developing relationships with students and staff, and applying educational theories in real-time. The partnership between Alphacrusis, TSAS, and SACS has been instrumental in equipping me with both practical skills and a deeper understanding of teaching. This journey has shown me the power of intentional integration between classroom experience and academic learning, making my training both meaningful and rewarding.
Learning in Community: The Clinical Teaching Model
The TSAS cohort model provides a supportive and encouraging community for trainee teachers, fostering collaboration and lasting friendships. Sharing experiences, tackling challenges together, and engaging in peer discussions help bridge the gap between theory and practice. The sense of belonging and mutual support empowers trainees to navigate the demands of teaching with confidence. The friendships and professional connections formed through the cohort experience continue to provide encouragement beyond the traineeship, offering a strong foundation for early career teaching.
